Rain Out Policy
1. Never
assume anything has been canceled or post-phoned. Always get authorized verification from your Head coach.
2. If
you are concerned about a potential change in plans for a Conway Falcon function... before you leave to go to the function,
check the web-site out one last time… www.conwayfalconsfootballcfyfl.com These changes, if necessary, will always be put on the site IMMEDIATELY upon the league making the decision.
3. In
the case of rain, GO to the practice or game. Obviously if there is a terrible down pour or heavy lightning, our first priority
is your child’s safety. We do have a lightning meter on the field that will help us to keep everyone safe. Just remember, if it is raining where
you are, it may not be or it may have passed at the event location. We all know how Florida is. It is important that you come to the practice
or game anyway. We will usually wait around 20 minutes of waiting time to make a decision to cancel or not.
4. Always have arrangements made ahead of time for your child. If you drop your child
off at a practice or game, ALWAYS have a contingency plan made and communicated to another adult team parent, coach or responsible
person who is remaining at the location. The CFYFL, Conway Falcons, it's coaches, volunteers, fellow parents, and any other
people ARE NOT responsible for your child and their transportation to and from events unless prior arrangements have been
made.
However, always make arrangements for your child to have transportation in the case of a rain out or practice or
game called off early due to any circumstances whatsoever. Make sure you have given a cell phone or contact number of somebody
that CAN be reached immediately (if any circumstances like these should arise) to somebody you feel is responsible, and you
can trust. Always be prepared.
5. LIGHTNING..
If lightning is visible or detected by the team’s lightning detector,
ALL PEOPLE, PLAYERS,COACHES, AND PARENTS ARE TO IMMEDIATELY SEEK SHELTER IN THEIR VEHICLES OR A BUILDING. No huddles, talks,
meetings, etc… After a 10 consecutive minute wait with no lightning visible or detected, our Football VP, Scott Davidson
may choose to resume practice. Coach Davidson may also call practice off at any time.
Please adhere to these guidelines
/ rules this season, and we will try our best to make everything go as smoothly as we can for you.
